BUGEMBE — The Commander of the Land Forces in UPDF, Lt Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba on Sunday paid a courtesy call on the Kyabazinga of Busoga William Gabula Nadiope IV at his Igenge Palace in Bugembe, Jinja City.

Gen Muhoozi was welcomed by Busoga Kingdom’s Prime Minister Joseph Muvawala, who was accompanied by his deputy Owek. Osman Ahmed Noor and the kingdom’s spokesperson Owek. Andrew Ntange.

While in the palace, Muhoozi and Kyabazinga held a private meeting and after which the Kyabazinga gave him a guided tour of interior of the Igenge Palace.

The kingdom did not immediately communicate the detail of the meeting between the Kyabazinga and Gen Muhoozi.

Muhoozi met and engaged in a photo session with Busoga Kingdom officials, a few Members of Parliament and Hereditary Chiefs led by Issabalangira of Busoga Samuel Zirabamuzale Menhya among others.

The Kyabazinga Affairs Minister Owek. Yudaya Babirye, while addressing journalists at Igenge Palace, said  Gen Muhoozi paid a courtesy call on the Kyabazinga before proceeding to launch the Cecafa senior women’s championship at Kakindu Stadium in Jinja City.
