The National Council of Sports (NCS) has cautioned the various sports associations and federations on proper accountability of government funding with effect from this financial year. The sports body sounded the warning drums during a capacity building workshop with the heads and financial managers of the national sports federations/associations at Copper Chimney, Lugogo on Thursday. Parliament approved Shs47 billion for the sports sector in the 2022/2023 financial year. Of this, the Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) was given Shs17 billion. A total of 2,415 graduands will walk away with certificates, diploma , bachelors and post-graduate qualifications at Kampala University’s 19th graduation slated for Thursday, June, 23.
