JINJA: Police in Jinja have arrested over 40 youths suspected to be part of the group that lit bonfires, blocked roads and hurled stones at motorists in the different parts of the city for a large part of Monday morning. The recently appointed Resident District/City Commissioners (RDCs/RCCs) and their deputies have today Monday July 25, left for their induction retreat which is going to take place at the National Leadership Institute (NALI) in Kyankwanzi. The Rwenzori Rare Metals, a company licensed to exploit Busoga’s mineral resources, has dismissed reports that the Makuutu Mineral resource is worth $370 billion as reported in some sections of the media. Vulnerable families in Busoga sub-region have been treated to a sumptuous Eid Al-Adha thanks to a partnership between Busoga Kingdom and four Non Governmental Organisations (NGOs) that led to the sacrificing of over 1,400 cows.
