The Busoga Kyabazinga, His Majesty, William Wilberforce Nadiope Gabula IV is inclined to host the moslem fraternity across his Kingdom. The event that is scheduled for Friday, April 5, 2024, is anticipated to attract over 5000 people will receive different packages to rejoice the festivals.
The excellent development was confirmed by the Kingdom prime minister, Dr Joseph Muvawala, who mobilized all the belivers of the moslem faith to participate in the memorable event. During a press briefing that attracted several district khads at the Kingdom headquarters on Monday, April 1, 2024, Muvawala stated that the event will be of a free invitation.
“Over 5000 Muslims shall be hosted and have a package to take home. This signifies the relationship between the Busoga kingdom and the Moslem faith,” stated Muvawala.
Moslems will hold their last prayers (Juma) of the holly Ramadan in the palace with royal couple, which Muvawala noted that the King will on that day officially present the Inebantu, Her Royal Highness, Jovia Mutesi, to the believers.
The premier said the King has embarked on seeking God’s Devine to grace his leadership, noting that the momerable day shall serve to pray for the region’s challenges. It will mark. the first prayers to be held in the Palace since its launch.
Muvawala condemned the distressing acts in the region, citing the recent disturbing incident where about three feared dead and many hospitalized following alleged food poisoning in Buyengo town council Jinja district.
“We must pray for our Kingdom to do away with such acts, and they must be condemned in this month, Ramadan,” he noted.
According to Busoga Regional Khad Dr Hussein Muhammad Bowa, the initiative organized by the Kingdom’s second deputy prime minister, Osman Noor, is a signal of unity among the subjects. Dr Bowa commended the king, associating with all religions.
“The Kyabazinga is really a good parent because of his association with all religions. He has really done us very well to host us as moslems in his palace. We need to thank him, and we shall not stop thanking him,” said Dr Bowa.
The significant occasion shall be followed by the Kyabazinga Iftar dinner to be organized at Jinja’s Civil Service College on Saturday, April 6, 2024, which premier Muvawala emphasized that only invited guests shall be recognized.
The dinner is coordinated by the Uganda’s first deputy prime minister, Rebecca Kadaga, in collaboration with the Turkish embassy.
“I want to mobilize all political leaders especially our cabinet and state ministers, members of parliament, district chairpersons, RDCs and other political figures to attend this event as we pray for our region,” he said.
