    Kyabazinga calls for helping the needy as Muslims hold last Juma at Igenge Palace

    Thousands of believers on the Muslim faith on Friday, April 5, 2024, convened at the Igenge Palace in Bugembe, Jinja City for the last Juma of this Ramathan. The faithful were invited by Busoga King, His Majesty William Wilberforce Nadiope Gabula IV, and his Jovia Mutesi, who gave a warm reception to the believers.

    The event that attracted several influential in the region and Muslims subjects across the region kicked off with a significant dua to seek divine for the royal couple to have a mesmerising marriage.

    The dua and the general prayers were led by the deputy Mufti of Uganda Sheikh Ali Waiswa, who is a son of the soil. Sheikh Waiswa asked the almighty Allah to grace the reign of King Nadiope and as well address any challenges that may interfer his services.

    He applauded the King for loving the Muslim faith, adding that it exhibited unity in the region.

    In his address, the Majesty praised Muslims for implementing the Kingdom’s calls of togetherness and collaboration.

    “I am pleased that you have honoured our invitation to host you here. You have physically turned up, and it shows that you are a bond,” stated the Kyabazinga.

    The King appealed to Muslims to continue according respect to their Almighty Allah by having discipline and supporting the needy in this holly period.

    “In this fasting period, we seek for forgiveness from God, but we need to remain holly even when the Ramathan is off,” he added.

    He asked the young people to love their culture and participate in developmental activities and remain remain relevant in the communities, calling them to join the institution in serving the region.

    He urged subjects to utilize the rainy season to grow crops that would aid in the fight against famine and educating the young children.

    The Presidency Minister Milly Babirye Babalanda commending the Majesty for bringing the subjects together despite their religious and political differences. She said the region is at peace because the faithful have repeatedly prayed to God for peace and stability.

    “We need to continue praying because we don’t know whether we shall be as many as we are today in the next Ramathan. It is God’s plan,” Babalanda asked believers.

    Babalanda said the region is free from terror threats from the alleged Allied Democrats Forces (ADF) groups that had repeatedly created fear among the Kingdom subjects.
