Good things are slowly taking shape in cricket since the start of the year with the T20 Waterfall Elite League being one of them.

After a superb four days of cricket action at Lugogo cricket oval last week, Uganda Cricket Association (UCA) together with its partners have launched the Men’s version of the Waterfalls Elite League that kicks today, January 26, 2023 and will conclude on January 29, at the same oval.

Sipi Trekkers, Itanda Kayakers and Bujjagali Rafters are the three teams that are competing to find the winners of the Men’s version.

“Batball Uganda Limited is working closely with UCA to see the game grow as we continue to add more value whenever we can,” said Martin Ondeko, CEO Batball.

“As part of our contribution towards the tournament, we have ensured all players are smartly dressed in their jerseys and also made sure that the whole world watches seven games live on different channels,” he added.

“Besides the local players, we have ensured we get a number of international players to compete in these games as we hope to add more value to the game of cricket in the country,” said Davis Karashani, the tournament director.

“We also hope to attain commercial partners for the sport and also try to establish working relationships with key federations with hope of getting reciprocal invitations in the future,” Karashani added.
