National – Government is committed to finding a solution to the escalating commodity prices in the country, Finance minister Matia Kasaija revealed. Minister Kasaija said this while presenting a Shs48.1 trillion budget for the financial year 2022/2023 to the country yesterday. The Crested Cranes have emerged champions of this year’s CECAFA women championship, thanks to goals from Sandra Nabweteme and Fazila Ikwaput. Nabweteme netted twice while Ikwaput converted the third goal to sink Burundi’s chances of winning the coveted trophy. Joelle Bukuru scored Burundi’s consolation goal in the 49th minute to bring the score to 3-1 by full time in the game that was played at FUFA Technical Centre in Njeru.
