Wanderers made a strong start in their T20 league campaign with impressive victories, signaling their intent to dominate the competition.

In both matches, they were asked to bat first and immediately set a fast pace. Sharif Sulaiman was the standout performer, scoring half-centuries in both games, earning the Man of the Match awards.

In the morning game, Sulaiman scored 67 runs off 44 balls, with valuable contributions from Kakande Ivan, who scored 34 runs, and Vinod Patel, who added 42 runs off 33 balls. Their efforts led Wanderers to a huge total of 167 runs for the loss of 7 wickets.

Only Arvind Hirani and Ramin Gami showed some resistance, scoring 30 and 24 runs respectively, but it wasn’t enough to challenge the Wanderers’ total.

In the afternoon game, Wanderers continued their dominance. Sharif Sulaiman and Vinod Patel led the batting with scores of 92 and 61 runs respectively, helping the team reach 187 for 3 wickets in 20 overs. SKLPS again faltered in their chase, with only two batsmen, Vishal Bandheri (39 runs) and Chetan Halai (13 runs), managing to score in double figures.

SKLPS struggled in their response, losing both games by significant margins of 58 runs in the morning and 93 runs in the afternoon.

In other matches, Tornado and Patidar each secured a win in their games held in Jinja. At Lugogo, Kutchi Tigers remained unbeaten by taking all the points from Tornado Bees. Meanwhile, in Kamengo, the Ceylon Lions overpowered the Jinja-based Rounders to secure all available points.
