In a dramatic showdown, the Victoria Pearls, fought back from the brink to level the six-match Capricorn Series 3-3, sharing the trophy with hosts Namibia after an intense final game.

The Pearls’ journey was filled with highs and lows, but their spirit never wavered. They started strong, clinching narrow victories in the first two matches, including a thrilling two-run win over Namibia in the opener. Uganda’s resilience shone through, as they followed up with a five-run victory, proving their ability to stay calm under pressure.

However, Namibia rallied, winning the next two games to level the series at 2-2. In the fifth match, they secured a nail-biting one-run win, leaving Uganda with their backs against the wall and the series on the line in the final match.

With everything to play for, Uganda came back swinging. Choosing to bowl first, they restricted Namibia to a challenging 139/4, with standout performances from Kayleen Green (48) and Yasmeen Khan (35). Despite a shaky start in the chase, Uganda found their rhythm, thanks to a vital 69-run partnership between Rita Musamali (40) and Stephanie Nampiina (39). Needing 12 off the last over, Uganda capitalized on fielding errors to clinch a five-wicket victory, leveling the series.
