In a bid to address concerns surrounding the closure of Valley View Nursery and Primary School in Busonga, Luuka town council, Luuka District LC V Chairman, Simon Wakaze, has reassured stakeholders that the school will remain operational without any future interruptions.

The recent closure of the school prompted significant discontent within the Luuka community, sparking numerous complaints directed towards the education authorities in the district. However, speaking at a Thanksgiving and fundraising event held at the school, Chairman Simon Wakaze took the opportunity to offer assurances to both parents and the school management, emphasizing that measures have been put in place to prevent a recurrence of such incidents.

Resty Kawoowo Namutamba, the Secretary of Works in Luuka District and an aspiring Woman Member of Parliament, urged residents to prioritize supporting local development initiatives instead of engaging in conflicts. This call for unity and collaboration echoes the sentiment of fostering progress within the community.

Honorable Luke Kyobe Inhensiko, Member of Parliament for Luuka North, conveyed a message through his political assistant, Muzaaya Buruhani Mbalumya, encouraging individuals to cultivate relationships that offer support during both challenging and joyful times. Additionally, Muzaaya appealed to the community to continue backing MP Luke Kyobe’s efforts in advancing the development agenda for Luuka.

Peter Kategere, the school director, echoed the call for collective action, urging community members and leaders to collaborate in driving development initiatives forward. Kategere specifically appealed to the Luuka District Local Government, represented by LC V Chairman Simon Wakaze, and the Education Department to address the shortage of textbooks at the school, emphasizing the critical need for additional resources to support the educational needs of the students.
