The Men’s T20 league resumed on Sunday with exiciting games played across four venues. Clubs are fiercely competing for quarterfinal slots.

In the morning game, Nyakasura showed remarkable composure to chase down the target, securing a nail-biting 1-wicket victory against Premier Cricket Club. Premier won the toss and decided to bat first but struggled to build strong partnerships, getting bowled out for 95 runs in 17.1 overs.

Nyakasura’s bowling attack was led by Joseph Baguma, who took 4 wickets, and Mathew Musinguzi, who added 2 more. Their efforts ensured Premier couldn’t form any significant batting partnerships, with Chirag Patel (21) and Darshan Patel (13) being the only notable scorers for Premier.

During the chase, Amos Ahura and Brian Asaba gave Nyakasura a solid start, contributing 10 and 38 runs respectively. However, once they were out, the middle order struggled to score. Joseph Baguma and Innocent Mwebaza stepped up, each adding 12 runs to help Nyakasura edge past Premier Cricket Club by 1 wicket. Despite Premier’s Farian Ali (3 wickets) and Hiral Patel (4 wickets) putting up a fight, they couldn’t stop Nyakasura from clinching the win.

In the afternoon game, Nyakasura continued their dominance with a convincing 5-wicket win over Premier. Premier set a target of 126 runs for the loss of 7 wickets, with notable contributions from Chirag Patel (38) and Drishank Khatnani (19).

Nyakasura’s openers, Amos Ahura (12) and Ivan Thawithemwira (19), laid a solid foundation. Even after their dismissal, the team remained unfazed. Fortunate Alijuna (36) and Joseph Baguma (31) played crucial roles, ensuring Nyakasura secured their second comfortable win of the day.

Elsewhere, Kutchi Tigers claimed 4 points from Jinja SS Cricket Club in both games. Tornado Bees also had a dominant performance against KC Budo, earning 4 points.

Patidar made quick work of SKLPS, picking up 4 points with ease.
