The Luuka chiefdom, HRH Willington Nabwana Inhensiko IV, has issued a fervent plea to government representative Ronald Katende to intervene and protect the people of Luuka from fraudulent land title schemes. His impassioned remarks were delivered during the funeral of his brother, Prof. Steve J’Connie Inhensiko, on March 12, 2024, in Busimawu village, Budhabangula Parish, Luuka town council.

HRH Willington Nabwana Inhensiko IV emphasized the urgency of the situation, warning against the encroachment of wealthy individuals issuing counterfeit land titles with the intention of seizing land in Luuka. He urged the residents to secure their land rights by obtaining legitimate land titles, stressing the importance of safeguarding their ancestral lands for future generations.

The call to action comes amidst growing concerns over fraudulent land transactions and the exploitation of vulnerable communities. HRH Willington Nabwana Inhensiko IV underscored the significance of upholding the traditional values enshrined in Luuka’s heritage, urging vigilance and unity in the face of external threats.

Luuka North MP, Hon. Luke Kyobe Inhensiko, extended assurances to the Baise Ngobi clan, highlighting the late Prof.  Steve J’Connie Inhensiko’s contributions to the community, including health initiatives and infrastructure projects. He pledged to uphold the late’s legacy by continuing these programs in collaboration with fellow princes, ensuring their fulfillment as envisioned by the departed leader.

The Prime Minister of Luuka chiefdom, Owek. Lwiigo David Igulu Isabirye Ngulungu, urged the youth to preserve the late’s legacy by embracing inclusivity and solidarity. He emphasized the importance of fostering a cohesive community and fostering a culture of hospitality and cooperation.

Busoga Kingdom, represented by Owek. Richard Mafumo and Owek. Nantale Nasabu Otana Ekyelu, conveyed their condolences to the Luuka chiefdom and underscored the significance of honesty and integrity, echoing the values epitomized by the late Prof. Tabingwa Steve J’Connie Inhensiko.

However, RDC Katende Ronald reflected on the broader societal challenges, lamenting the loss of valuable individuals like Prof. Steve J’Connie Inhensiko and emphasizing the importance of education and parental guidance in shaping the future generation.
