    Uganda 0-1 Tanzania

Uganda Cranes continued with their poor run of results in Egypt in an East African derby against Tanzania with a 1-0 defeat at Ismailia.

Uganda Cranes lacked proper answers to the asked questions by the Taifa Stars from the first minute of the game and Tanzania’s efforts later paid off through Simon Msuva who came off the bench to score the only goal of the game in the 68th minute.

Despite the introduction of the young lads into the side, Uganda Cranes still lacked that player who could turn around results to help the team go high in the table standings as they lacked team spirit.

Having started with a 2-0 defeat against Algeria, and a home draw against Niger, Uganda Cranes chances of qualifying for the AFCON are slowly perishing after today’s loss against Tanzania.

The result means Uganda Cranes remain rock bottom of the table with only one point after three games, a result they picked against Niger at St. Mary’s stadium in Kitende.

It still remains unclear if the Uganda Cranes head coach will pick maximum points in Tanzania in fully packed stadium, but all will be to play for in the second leg of the fixture next week on Tuesday.
