Moses Kawubanya, a 45-year-old resident of Busana zone, Nabirumba ward, Nabwigulu subcounty in Kamuli district, is nursing wounds in Kamuli General Hospital after his wife reportedly chopped off his genitals.
The fate unfolded in the wee hours of Monday, June 10, 2024, when the determined 34-year-old woman identified as Suzan Namuganza carried out the irritating act against her husband over the yet to be established reasons.
A director of Serena Children located in the same locality, Kawubanya, according to allegations, woke up to bathe after at 3am, which he resumed his bed with a towel wrapped around the waist. When their three months old baby started crying, Namuganza, woke up where the victim thought she was getting milk for the baby but on coming back, the wife fell on him and cut off her his penis.
Police confirmed that Namuganza is on the run, but efforts are underway to apprehend her.
“We have a serious manhunt for a 34-year-old woman identified as Suzan Namuganza for allegedly attempting to murder her husband by cutting off his genitals,” said ASP Micheal

Kasadha noted that the suspect, after the attack, robbed and fled with an unknown amount of money. The victim also ran to the neighbourhood, who helped him and brought him to Kamuli General Hospital for medical attention.

Kasadha stated that further inquiries are ongoing to establish circumstances surrounding the whole matter, appealing lovers to settle misunderstandings from local authorities instead of performing unlawful practices.
It is alleged that the embattled couple had just conducted their wedding before the unfortunate incident.
