The MTN Busoga Cycling Championship is in full swing, with cyclists from across the region competing in thrilling preliminary races. The competition is fierce, with only the top two cyclists from each chiefdom qualifying for the grand finale on February 15, 2025.

Recent races over the weekend in Bukooli and Bunhole-Bunhanumba Chiefdoms showcased impressive talent, with Luganda Tifu and Malinzi Sam taking the top spots in the Tippa category in Bukooli. In Bunhole-Bunhanumba, Damba Bashir and Waiswa Ivan emerged victorious in the Tippa category.

Previous races on Saturday, January 18, 2025, in Bulamogi and Luuka Chiefdoms also saw intense competition, with Kisambira Yazid and Naikamba Daniel topping the Tippa category in Bulamogi. In Luuka, Musitwa Andrew and Mulondo Rashid earned their spots in the Tippa category.

The stakes are high, with the winners set to receive brand-new motorcycles and cash prizes of up to UGX 2,000,000. The competition is expected to heat up further, with remaining races scheduled for January 25, 26, and February 1 and 2.

Cycling fans across Busoga are eagerly watching to see who will emerge victorious in the grand finale.
