In a disappointing turn of events for Busoga United FC, the struggling side faced a significant setback as they were dealt a heavy blow by a dominant KCCA FC at MTN-Omondi Stadium on Thursday.

Despite their best efforts, Busoga United faltered against the formidable Kasasiro Boys, succumbing to a resounding 4-1 defeat that further compounds their woes in the ongoing league campaign.

From the onset, Busoga United found themselves on the back foot as KCCA FC asserted their authority with precision and efficiency. Skipper Filbert Obenchan set the tone for the hosts with a powerful header in the 18th minute, leaving Busoga United scrambling to recover.

The visitors’ hopes of mounting a comeback were dashed as Saidi Mayanja showcased his scoring prowess, netting twice to extend KCCA FC’s lead. Mayanja’s clinical finishing left Busoga United’s defense exposed, with the team unable to contain the relentless onslaught from their opponents.

Despite their valiant efforts to stem the tide, Busoga United struggled to contain KCCA FC’s attacking prowess, with Arafat Kizza Usama adding insult to injury by securing a fourth goal for the hosts in the 56th minute.

While Busoga United managed to salvage a measure of pride with a consolation goal from veteran defender Isaac Isinde, the result was a bitter pill to swallow for the relegation-threatened side. With their hopes of climbing out of the relegation zone dealt a severe blow,

The defeat leaves Busoga United languishing in 14th place in the standings, with just 17 points to their name.
