In a Uganda Premier League clash at the Kabaka Kyabaggu Stadium, Busoga United held their nerves to secure a valuable point in a goalless draw against URA. The result gives them hope for their survival in the League.

The hard-earned point sees Busoga United edging three points clear of the relegation zone, although they have played one more game than their fellow strugglers, Gadaffi FC and UPDF FC, who are set to battle it out on Thursday.

Despite the promising outcome, Busoga United faces a daunting task ahead with a challenging run of fixtures against title-chasing teams. Their upcoming matches include a home fixture against BUL FC, followed by an away clash against Kitara, a showdown with Vipers on home turf, and a season-ending match against Express.

While URA has experienced inconsistency throughout the season, they have managed to maintain clean sheets in each game played at their new home ground, the Kabaka Kyabaggu Stadium. However, they have struggled to capitalize on their recent victory over NEC FC.

Currently, URA occupies the 8th position on the league table with 35 points from 25 games, while Busoga United finds themselves in 13th place with 22 points after 25 matches.

Looking ahead, URA is set to travel to Mbarara City for their next fixture on Tuesday, May 7th, at Kakyeka Ground, while Busoga United prepares to host BUL FC the following day.
