BUL FC celebrated a convincing 3-1 victory over Kitara in their sixth match of the Uganda Premier League at Royal Park Butema in Hoima. This win brings BUL’s points total to 8, moving them up to 8th place in the league.

The game started with a bang for BUL. Just 94 seconds in, Martin Aprem found the net with a powerful shot, thanks to a precise cross from Ibrahim Orit. The early goal set the tone, and within ten minutes, Walter Ochora doubled the lead by heading in a corner from Jeromy Kirya.

Kitara managed to respond in the 28th minute when Arthur Kiggundu scored with a header from a free kick taken by Moses Seruyide. This gave the home team a glimmer of hope, but opportunities were limited in the first half.

The second half saw Kitara press for an equalizer, but they struggled to convert their chances. Their efforts were dashed when substitute Dickson Mataama scored in the 74th minute. Mataama showcased his skill with a solo run, evading defenders and rounding the goalkeeper to secure the victory for BUL.

This match marked Kitara’s fourth defeat in the league and their third consecutive loss at home, leaving them in the relegation zone with only 4 points. Meanwhile, BUL is celebrating their second win of the season.

Looking ahead, Kitara will face URA away on Friday, while BUL will host Bright Stars on Tuesday.
