The clash between BUL and KCCA unfolded in a riveting encounter at Philp Omondi Stadium, culminating in a hard-fought goalless draw where both teams showcased their defensive prowess.

The match commenced with a display of balanced gameplay, as both BUL and KCCA tactfully maneuvered the ball in each other’s halves. KCCA’s composure and control were particularly evident in the calm ball handling observed during the initial stages.

BUL faced an early setback as Martin Aprem was fouled and injured, prompting an early substitution. Meanwhile, KCCA’s Shaban Mohammad’s header missed the mark, denying them an early lead. Recognizing the need for strategic changes, Carlos da Silva entered the game, addressing concerns about KCCA’s gameplay.

The first half witnessed intense action, with numerous fouls and near misses on both ends. Assistant coach Simeone Masaba’s booking added to the tension, reflecting the high stakes of the match. Despite several attempts, both teams failed to break the deadlock, leading to a goalless statement at halftime.

The second half saw shifts in personnel due to injuries, with both teams striving for a breakthrough. Ibrahim Kazindula’s long-range attempt and a prime chance for KCCA were among the highlights, but the deadlock persisted. Injuries continued to plague the match, further intensifying the battle on the field.

Despite the draw, BUL FC maintained their lead at the top of the standings, while KCCA FC remained in 9th position. Looking ahead, KCCA is set to face Express FC, while BUL FC will host Solitiro Bright Stars, setting the stage for another round of thrilling encounters.

In another fixture, URA FC secured a crucial away win against Gaddafi FC on Thursday evening, with Norman Namanya’s goal sealing the victory. Despite Gaddafi’s efforts, URA FC’s solid performance propelled them to seventh place in the standings, while Gaddafi FC remains embroiled in the relegation mix.
