BUL FC battled hard to earn a 1-1 draw against Vipers SC on Saturday at St. Mary’s Stadium, Kitende, in the Uganda Premier League. The result was a significant boost for BUL, who have struggled for consistency this season.

The match couldn’t have started better for the visitors. In the 4th minute, Pascal Ngobi scored a stunning long-range goal after being set up by Dickson Mataama. The early strike sent a shockwave through the home crowd and gave BUL a well-deserved 1-0 lead.

Vipers SC quickly responded, and in the 28th minute, they were awarded a penalty when Gusto Mulongo was fouled in the box by Najib Fessali. Allan Okello stepped up and converted the spot kick, leveling the score at 1-1.

Despite the equalizer, BUL FC remained resilient throughout the match. The team defended bravely and denied Vipers SC several chances to take the lead. In the 84th minute, goalkeeper Joel Mutakubwa made a crucial save to deny Milton Karisa from scoring the potential winner.

As the game approached its end, Vipers had another chance to claim victory from a free-kick, but Hillary Mukundane failed to capitalize, and the match ended 1-1.

The result lifts BUL FC to 10th place with 15 points, while Vipers SC remains second with 25 points.
