    Balamu, Gen. Mbadi appointed ministers as Museveni shuffles Cabinet

    NATIONAL: Maverick music promoter Balumu Barugahara has been appointed Minister of State for Gender, Labour and Social Development in a new cabinet reshuffle.

    Another surprise appointment is Chief of Defence Forces Gen. Wilson Mbadi who has been appointed minister of State for Trade, Industry and Cooperatives.

    Tororo County MP Jacob Oboth has been elevated to Minister of Defence replacing Hon. Vicent Sempijja who has been appointed Presidential advisor.

    In other appointments, Sironko district Woman Member of Parliament, Hon Florence Namboozo, has been appointed State Minister for Karamoja replacing Agnes Nandutu who was one of the ministers implicated in the Mabati scandal.

    Mary Goretti Kitutu formerly Karamoja Affairs minister has also been dropped and replaced with Hon. Peter Lokeris, the Member of Parliament representing Chekwii county.
