    Top cricket talent of 2024 to be honored by Uganda Cricket

    The Uganda Cricket Association is set to host the much-anticipated UCA Season Awards 2024 on November 30th at the Copper Chimney in Lugogo. The prestigious event will celebrate the outstanding achievements of players, coaches, volunteers and teams who have made an impact on Ugandan cricket throughout the year.

    2024 has been a historic year for Ugandan cricket, with the Cricket Cranes making their debut at the T20 World Cup in the West Indies and the Victoria Pearls securing their fourth Kwibuka title. The Season Awards will honor these remarkable accomplishments, recognizing talent across several categories, including Cricketer of the Year, Domestic Player of the Year, and Coach of the Year. Special awards will also be given to players who achieved milestones this particular year.

    The nominees for Cricketer of the Year include Cricket Cranes’ Riazat Ali Shah, Victoria Pearls’ Immaculate Nakisuyi, and former Cricket Cranes captain Brian Masaba, all of whom delivered exceptional performances. The event will also highlight top local players as well as celebrate club achievements like Wanderers’ T20 league win after 13 years.
