In a heartfelt address at the Bukoova Catholic Church of Uganda in Luuka district, MP Hon. Luke Kyobe Inhensiko emphasized the crucial role of religion in child rearing and societal development. His impassioned plea comes amidst growing concerns over youth involvement in criminal activities.

During the church service, Hon. Kyobe lamented the decline in religious upbringing, attributing it to the rise in juvenile delinquency. He emphasized that nurturing children in faith instills moral values and guides them away from wrongdoing, citing recent incidents of violence as consequences of spiritual voids.

In a tangible display of support for the community’s spiritual endeavors, the MP generously donated 100 bags of cement towards the construction of the Bukoova parish. Expressing gratitude to Bishop Charles Wameka for the initiative, Hon. Kyobe underscored the importance of fostering religious education, particularly among the youth.

Father Mwanji Stephen echoed these sentiments, highlighting faith as the pathway to spiritual fulfillment. He urged individuals to embrace and cherish their religious beliefs, emphasizing their significance in shaping ethical conduct and spiritual growth.

The local Catholic community, represented by chairman Grace Ngobi and councilor Bakita Sylvia, commended the MP’s contribution to the parish construction. Additionally, they appealed to him for assistance in addressing pressing community issues, including healthcare challenges at Bukoova Health Center III and road infrastructure concerns.

Promising to advocate for their needs in parliament, Hon. Kyobe reaffirmed his commitment to addressing the community’s grievances, promising action on critical issues such as healthcare access and road maintenance.
