In a UPL game at the Gaddafi Arena in Jinja, Gaddafi FC faced a tough 2-1 defeat against KCCA FC. Despite an early advantage with Rashid Mpata’s penalty goal, Gaddafi FC ultimately succumbed to KCCA FC’s relentless pressure.

The match began with Gaddafi FC showing promise, as Mpata’s well-converted penalty put them in the lead early on. However, KCCA FC quickly turned the tide, displaying unwavering determination to overturn the deficit. Etienne Katenga’s equalizing goal injected newfound energy into the KCCA FC squad, setting the stage for a comeback.

As the first half progressed, KCCA FC continued to assert their dominance, with Shaban Muhammad capitalizing on a scoring opportunity to give his team the lead. Despite Gaddafi FC’s spirited efforts to level the scores, KCCA FC’s solid defense and resilient midfield thwarted their advances, ultimately sealing the victory.

Gaddafi FC’s goalkeeper, Abdu Magada, delivered a commendable performance, making crucial saves to keep his team in contention. However, despite his performance, Gaddafi FC’s inability to capitalize on scoring opportunities cost them dearly, as KCCA FC held firm to secure the win.

The defeat leaves Gaddafi FC reflecting on missed opportunities and areas for improvement, as they strive to bounce back stronger in their next fixture as they remain in 14th position on the league table.

Meanwhile, the win propels KCCA FC to 6th place in the league standings, providing a significant boost as they continue their campaign in the Uganda Premier League.
