In a highly anticipated clash at Masindi, Kitara missed a chance to extend their lead at the top of the Uganda Premier League standings as they were held to a goalless draw by second-placed BUL. Despite the buildup, both teams struggled to create clear opportunities, leaving the encounter deadlocked at full time.

The draw sees Kitara maintain their position at the league summit with 44 points, holding a four-point advantage over BUL. However, with only seven games remaining in the season, the race for the title remains tightly contested, with every point crucial in the battle for supremacy.

For BUL, the result highlights the team’s need to rediscover their winning form as they aim to mount a serious challenge for the league title.

Despite Kitara’s lead, both SC Villa and Vipers remain in contention for the championship, sitting eight and nine points behind respectively, with three games in hand.

Looking ahead, Kitara will face NEC at Lugogo on April 4, while BUL will host Wakiso Giants two days later in Njeru.
