Jinja: Two brother are under detention in Jinja district for reportedly being behind the attacks against locals with machetes. Jinja: Rural women farmers in Uganda have been tipped on agriculture produce value addition if they are to realise profits and expand their agribusinesses sustainably. Namayingo: Dominic Omolo, a resident of Simase cell mutumba town council in Namayingo district, is behind bars for purportedly dodging the ongoing National Housing and Population Census. Kiira police region on Saturday May 12, 2024 successfully conducted the recruitment interviews for the Police Probation Constables (PPCs). The momentous exercise was organized at the Agriculture Show Grounds in Jinja city. Out of the successful 47 shortlisted applicants from Jinja city and the greater Jinja district, only forty two individuals managed to turn up for the exercise. The National Population Census officially kicked off Friday, May 10, 2024, to establish the number of people in the country. The first day of the exercise reportedly was difficult, according to enumerators. Despite a nine-days training, machines (tablets) used to capture data became difficult for enumerators to operate them as the software programme allegedly challenged many.
