    Summary of results

    Game 1

    UAE W v Kenya W
    UAE 84/9
    Kenya 69/10
    UAE won by 15 runs

    Game 2

    Uganda W v Rwanda W
    Rwanda 61/10
    Uganda 62/3
    Uganda won by 7 wickets

The Victoria series bowled off with two low scoring games on the scorecard that saw the hosts Uganda and UAE pick wins against Rwanda and Kenya respectively.

Besides the weather that could have comfortably let UAE register a 15 run win over Kenya, they were too good with the ball after setting a low score of 84 runs in 20 overs.

Despite Kenya winning the toss and restricting UAE to a small score, they failed to use the bat to overcome the threats of the most ranked team in the tournament.

Kenya looked to be a better side in the chase after the first five overs, but once they lost their top batters, the followers barely contributed runs as they fell short by 15 runs.

In the afternoon, Uganda put up a great show with both the ball and the bat as they defeated Rwanda by 7 wickets.

Rwanda had a poor start to their innings, losing wickets at a terrible rate which gave Uganda a much needed start to the tournament as they scored 61 runs in 20 overs. Consy Aweko and Irene Alumo were the players to watch with the ball as each pulled off figures of 2/8 and 2/9 respectively.

In the chase, Janet Mbabazi and Stephanie Nampiina were the players who ran the batting show for Victoria Pearls as each posted 29 and 18 runs respectively to help Uganda register their first win of the series.

Action returns tomorrow with Tanzania taking on UAE in the morning and Kenya taking on Rwanda in the afternoon with all games being broadcasted live on live.podgalgroup.com at Lugogo cricket oval.
