    The countrywide show came to an end on Saturday, April 8, 2023 at the Serenity Oval in Kamengo with the West edition and being the fifth regional tournament played in the same format of ten overs a side by boys under the age of 19.

    A part from the North edition that was hosted at St. Joseph’s College Layibi, the rest of the tournament were broadcasted live on Batball.tv globally, something that will go on to stick on the players’ minds as they were seen live everywhere.

    Throughout the five competitions, there has been a social cause that has been attached to every edition through direct and indirect channels such as;

    East edition- Bowling out gender-based violence in Soroti

    Nile edition- Bowling out teenage pregnancies in Busoga region

    North Edition- – Bowling out gender-based violence in Gulu

    Central Edition- Fight Against HIV/AIDS

    West Edition- Keeping Personal Hygiene

    All the 20 teams that competed in all the first season had names which were derived from common birds attached to the region and named in the local languages, something that enabled the locals cheer up their teams with comfort.

    The inaugural season has attracted over 300 players in all the five regional tournaments as they donned on their jerseys with social cause messages and 16 players from each region will go on to represent their side at the upcoming Batball X in June this year.

    In line with Batball Uganda limited objective of carving pathways for the cricket talent in Uganda, more of these tournaments will be organised and played over the coming years as they help to shape the growing talent and in return there will be exchange programs as they get prepared for professional cricket.
